Bereavement Ministry - Spiritual: Return

Prayer. God of Life, there are days when the burdens we carry chafe our shoulders and wear us down, when the road seems dreary and endless, the skies gray and threatening, when our lives have no music in them and our hearts are lonely, and our souls have lost their courage.

Flood the path with light we beseech Thee Lord. Turn our eyes to where the heavens are full of promise. St Augustine.

"New Day" We encourage all the newly grieving to begin a journal and commit to regular entries for a period of nine (9) weeks. This journaling program will allow people deal with their pain and grief in an atmosphere of care and understanding.

Journal keeping can be a form of prayer. Regularly maintaining a personal journal could bring together the desired efforts we make each day to pray. It can help us see more clearly where we have been, where we are and where we are heading in our journey to walk, talk and ultimately be with Christ the Lord.

No one needs to make this journey alone.

Grief Support Group. A support group for adults who have experienced the loss of a loved one. Meets from 7:00p - 9:00p Tuesday nights in the Annex.

A Loving Memory… God saw you getting tired, And a cure was not to be, So He put His arms around you, And whispered "come to Me," A golden heart stopped beating, Hard working hands at rest, God broke our hearts, To prove to us, He only takes the best. Author Unknown
