Intro to Guidance
Welcome to the Holy Redeemer Catholic School Counseling and Guidance Program. The counseling program at HRCS is designed to assist you and your child in making the most of his/her educational experience. As your school’s counselor, I am committed to providing an environment that promotes student self-worth, one in which the unique social, emotional, and intellectual needs of all students are addressed.

I subscribe to the following philosophy regarding counseling and my work with students:

• Counseling is the process of helping people by assisting them in making decisions and changing behavior.
• School counselors take a holistic approach to education by working with students, their families, school staff and members of the community.
• School counseling programs promote school success through a focus on academic needs, prevention and intervention activities, advocacy, social/emotional development and career exploration.
