HR Catholic Church Food & Service Program

Holy Redeemer
Sharing With One Another Ministry

Our Ministry is an organization of dedicated men and women of Holy Redeemer Catholic Community, motivated and inspired by Gospel values to live and practice the Good News of our faith and to promote the faith of the community by offering individual services to the poor and suffering.

The area of service to the needy extends not only to the members of our parish but to the community within the parish boundaries.

Active members of Holy Redeemer’s Sharing With One Another are drawn from those parish members who have the time and deep Christian desire to serve the needy and can engage in individual contact or family visitation as well as to the regular monthly meetings of the organization.

HR Catholic Church - Food & Service For Needy

All parishioners are encouraged to participate in the mission of Holy Redeemer’s Sharing With One Another Ministry by contributing food or cash and business or professional services and when needed. The parish bulletin and special inserts regularly indicate the general and specific needs of this mission.

Variety and types of services offered to individuals through Holy Redeemer’s Sharing With One Another Ministry are:

  • A food pantry maintained by the parish through dedicated contributors
  • Minimal financial assistance when urgently required
  • Visitations that provide support, advice and information about the services of other area organizations, agencies or people to assist them.

How Do We Respond To This Gospel Message?
The king will say to those on his right: “Come, you have my Father’s blessing! Inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the creation of the world. For I was hungry and you gave me food. I was thirsty and you gave me drink. I was a stranger and you welcomed me, naked and you clothed me. I was ill and you comforted me, in prison and you came to visit me.”
Matthew 25: 34-36

In Prayerful Remembrance of Mother Teresa

Model For Sharing With One Another:
God, our loving Father, you have given us a beautiful example of love in action through your daughter, Mother Teresa. In her life she showed us how to follow Jesus by loving others. She joyfully fed the hungry, rallied for the poor and unwanted, cared for the sick and dying, and sheltered the homeless. May we imitate her love and generosity by reaching out to your needy ones. Thank you for the gift of Mother Teresa. May she now rest in your arms eternally.
Amen.
