Fr Christopher Hoffmann, Pastor:

I am Fr. Chris Hoffmann. I was born in 1960 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Somewhere when I was in grade school, I had the first inklings that I wanted to be a priest. I attended St. Lawrence boarding/high school seminary. It was a fantastic experience that helped me see that the priesthood was much more than celebrating Sunday Mass.

I received a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting in 1982. I attended both St. Meinrad Seminary in Indiana and St. Mary’s Seminary in Baltimore and received my Master’s of Divinity Degree from St. Mary’s in 1987.

I was ordained a priest on December 5, 1987, and my first Associate Pastor’s assignment was at Epiphany Catholic Church in Port Orange. My second assignment in 1989 was here at Holy Redeemer.

I have been in the Air Force Reserve since 1985, am attached to Patrick AFB and hold the rank of Lieutenant Colonel.

In 1991, I became the school pastor at Father Lopez High School in Daytona Beach, then three years later, moved on to Bishop Moore High School in Orlando.

In 1995, I took the helm at St. Clare Catholic Community in Deltona and then in 2001, I became the Pastor at Blessed Sacrament in Clermont. My next move came in 2003, to St. Ann’s in Haines City.

In the various parishes where I have recently been, there were building projects that needed to be completed and hurricanes to endure and fund raising to be done.

This will be my first pastorate with a Catholic School. I am looking forward to this assignment and to returning to Holy Redeemer.

Seeing my history, I have no way of knowing how long I will be with you, but whatever time I am given, I will do my best to care for you and lead you closer to Christ.
