About Us

Founded as a mission church in Kissimmee at the turn of the twentieth century, Holy Redeemer Catholic Church has been a spiritual home for generations of faithful Catholics in Central Florida. What began with visiting priests celebrating Mass in private homes eventually grew into a vibrant parish serving one of the fastest-growing regions of the state.

The first permanent church building was dedicated in 1912 in downtown Kissimmee. As the Catholic population continued to expand, the parish grew beyond its original facilities and relocated to its current campus on North Thacker Avenue in 1972, allowing Holy Redeemer to continue its mission of serving the people of God. The original church building remains a cherished part of local history and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

Today, Holy Redeemer is a multicultural and welcoming parish within the Diocese of Orlando, bringing together families from many nations and cultures to worship, grow in faith, and serve others. Through the celebration of the sacraments, religious education, outreach ministries, and community events, we strive to share the love of Christ with all who enter our doors.

Our parish is also blessed to support Catholic education through Holy Redeemer Catholic School, which has helped form young disciples in faith, knowledge, and service for generations.

Whether you are new to the area, visiting our community, or seeking a parish to call home, we invite you to join us as we continue our journey of faith together, proclaiming the Gospel and building God's Kingdom in Kissimmee and beyond.
